The goal for this project was to create an office space for the Sonos speaker company on the third and fourth floors of the Lever House. The office was to house lobbies, display, admnistrative offices, and a team of designers as well as three conference rooms and several break out areas. The design was to feature a a strong statement stair linking the two floors. Through analysis of the structure of the iconic building and the construction of a light filter, I designed an office system based on axial diversions. A strong component of the design is the space planing which is based on a partition "spine" running along the pre-existing columns with desks and seating acting as vertebrae breaking off from the main axis echoing the strucute of the office systems themselves.
